Geoff Johns to write the script for Geiger’s pilot episode
Image Comics’ comic book series ‘Geiger’ by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank is getting adapted into a television series by Justin Simien and Paramount Television Studios. Geoff Johns is set to write the pilot and will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the series alongside Jamie Iracleanos for Mad Ghost and Gary Frank. Simien will also executive produce ‘Geiger’ through his Culture Machine production banner; Simien recently signed a three-year overall deal with Paramount Television Studios; Kyle Laursen will also produce.
Set in the year 2050, Geiger centers around a radioactive family man named Tariq Geiger who spends his days and nights doing anything he must to protect the fallout shelter housing his family. When Geiger fights off a group of violent scavengers, he faces the wrath of the criminal empire they are connected to.
