Sony has gotten the ball rolling on their Valiant Comics Cinematic Universe. Its first entry? Bloodshot, starring Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious, XXX, Guardians of The Galaxy). Today Sony has officially revealed the official plot synopsis via DiscussingFilm:
“After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both he and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought.”
Vin Diesel is known for his fast paced and action heavy set films. Going by this synopsis it looks like he will deliver another one. This will mark the first big-screen live-action debut of Bloodshot. Last we saw Bloodshot in live-action was via Power Rangers icon Jason David Frank in a Youtube web series.
Bloodshot has officially wrapped principal photography and is directed by Dave Wilson and will star Vin Diesel as Bloodshot. Sam Heughan, Eiza Gonzalez, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell are co-starring the film.
