The nominees of the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California

Award season is upon us and whether you tuned in this past week to The Game Awards to see which 2022 video game titles stood out above the rest or are impatiently waiting for who else ends up For Your Consideration for the Oscars; 2022 has come through like a massive tidal wave quite literally drowning every single corner of the industry with major blockbuster films, whether those films are sequels, reboots/remakes, or completely original IPs (Everything Everywhere All At Once), from TV shows that simply captivated the hearts of many (Abbott Elementary, White Lotus, the list goes on.)

Today we take a look at the long list of nominees for the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards, with the list of nominees being presented by Lopez vs Lopez stars Mayan Lopez and Selenis Leyva, alongside Helen Hoehne, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA); together they presented all 5 nominees for all 27 categories for this year’s award ceremony.

The nominees were voted by 96 members and, for the first time, 103 international voters. The new voters were recruited from international industry organizations, well-known foreign film festivals, and journalism professionals. This diverse voting group represents 62 different countries around the world. Combined with the current membership, the total Golden Globe Awards voting body is now 52% female, 51.8% racially and ethnically diverse, with 19.6% Latinx, 12.1% Asian, 10.1% Black, and 10.1% Middle Eastern.
