The Game Awards: When and Where To Watch, Full Nominees List


The 2022 award season is in full effect and The Game Awards is streaming tomorrow December 8th. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, fans worldwide will be tuning in to see if their favorite games of 2022 come out ahead of the competition. The show will also feature new world premiere trailers and gameplay for some of the most highly-anticipated titles coming in 2023 and beyond.

Below you will see the full list of this year’s nominees, as well as where you can watch the live event and on which streaming platforms. There are 31 categories in total this year including Best Narrative, Best Esports Athlete, and Content Creator of the Year. Leading with the most nominations this year is God of War: Ragnarok, with ten nominations.

Best Action Game: Bayonetta 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Neon White, SIFU, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

Most Anticipated Games: Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4, Starfield, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Best Multiplayer: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Multiversus, Overwatch 2, Splatoon 3, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Shredder’s Revenge.

Where To Watch The Game Awards 2022:

IMAX will partner with the show to create The Game Awards: The IMAX Experience, a LIVE community event in cities around the world to experience The Game Awards. For those who want to stay in the comfort of their own home either watching as a fan, watching their favorite streamer, or even co-streaming the event can do so on Twitch, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok Live, and the official website for The Game Awards.

The Game Awards on Discord and Twitch Viewer Rewards:

The Game Awards is teaming up with Discord for a multi-faceted partnership — including fan voting in all categories on The Game Awards Discord Server. Discord is also presenting the Best Community Support award at TGA, which recognizes and team that continues to iterate and improve a game based on community feedback. Those tuning in via Discord can watch The Game Awards live on the server with Watch Together and AMA Stage Events ft. Special Guests including Geoff Keighley; more surprises to come during the show. From December 8 at 4:30 PM PT until December 8 at 7:30 PM PT, viewers who watch 60 minutes of a participating channel broadcasting on Twitch during The Game Awards will receive 6 reward codes, while supplies last:

In order to participate you must do the following:

  • Log in to your Twitch account (if necessary, first create a Twitch account at Twitch.tv)
  •  Visit one of the eligible participating Twitch channels listed below.
  • While the channel is broadcasting during The Game Awards, watch for 60 minutes to earn the reward codes.
  • Viewers who complete 60 minutes of watch time will receive reward codes via their Twitch inbox. This offer is first come first served, while supplies last.
  • Redeem codes before expiration on 12/10/2022 at 12:00 PM PT
