February is coming to a close and with that, we look ahead to March and the first New Comic Book Day of the month. This week BOOM! Studios’ releases are rather light compared to last week’s releases but a new issue of Magic and a special issue of Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer should quell fans’ anticipations of BOOM!’s hottest new titles. Below we have previews for Magic #24 and Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer Special #1 both of which release at your local comic book shops on Wednesday, March 1st. Readers can also pick up The Many Deaths of Laila Starr Deluxe Edition Hardcover which also releases this coming week.

Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer Special #1 – It’s been 4 years, and Buffy, Angel, and Thess have been living in relative peace as a dysfunctionally cozy family. But nothing can last forever… Tara might not be dead, but they’re losing hope for her staying among the living, and strange new vampires have been sighted. To get to the bottom of these unfolding horrors, our gang will have to head underground… and face the horrifying true cause of the decline in vampire activity!
