WWE Smackdown Live – 08/13/19 – (Results)

The following are the results of the August 13th, 2019 edition of WWE Smackdown Live, that emanated live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada:

1. Segment: Kevin Owens opens up the show with sound chants of “Kevin Owens” from the audience. He addresses his win over Shane last night and reminisces that it’s been 5 years to the day he signed with WWE. Grateful for the opportunities and matches he’s had as well as experiences such as wrestling people he looked up to. Owens says he’s focusing jow on The King Of The Ring Tournament Shane McMahon interrupts and The crowd begins chanting “asshole” at Shane. Shane proceeds to ahow the footage of last . The crowd begins chanting “You deserve it!” Shane calls on Owens unsportmanship and lebels him not a man, but a cheater. Shane reminds Owens that he viciously attacked Elias last night, as he was wearing a referee shirt, he was an official and a representative of the company. Repercussion for those actions need to occur, so Shane fined Owens $100,000 dollars.

2. Segment: Owens barges in Shane’s office. Shane warns him that he’s not a competitor but in management capacity. Owens hits him and he will sue and take him for all his worth. Owens paces but says “Screw it! Let’s make it $105,000!” and smashes the tv with a chair and leaves. Shane gets up and is seen grinning.

3. Charlotte Flair defeated Ember Moon via The Figure-Eight Leg-Lock Submission.

4. Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan are backstage walking in the arena and looks like they’re on their way to the ring to address the rumors of their involvement of Roman Reigns’ attacks.

5. A video package announcement is shown revealing the city of Boston as the site of the 2020 WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view next year.

6. Segment: Bryan and Rowan deny their involvement of their attack against Reigns. They claim Buddy Murphy is a liar for giving their name to Reigns. Bryan berates the fans for believing the lies

7. Shane is in his office, distraught over his smashed tv at the hands of announces Owens opponent. In comes Samoa Joe and says that Owens may be walking around like a badass, but the only badass in here is him. Shane says he likes that and changes his mind on his previous choice and declares Joe Owen’s opponent for tonite.

8. Video package of Mustafa Ali is shown highlighting his performance in matches, declaring it is time for a change and that there’s no monster that can scare him.

9. Segment: Allisteir Black cuts a promo about wanting and waiting for anyone in the roster to again step up to the challenge and just knock.

10. Roman Reigns defeated Buddy Murphy after hitting him with the spear.

11. Segment: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival appeared backstage in an interview and were mad about The New Day ruining that match last night. They were set to face The New Day later in the night.

12. Segment: Kayla Braxton interviews Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E of The New Day as well and they were hyped as usual. Kofi was asked about Randy Orton and his recent antics and said that he would do what he did again to defend the honor of his family.

13. Samoa Joe defeated Kevin Owens. Owens had Joe pinned with the pop-up powerbomb, but Shane McMahon-appointed special enforcer, Elias, pulled the ref out of the ring. Joe rolled Owens up during the distraction and Elias made a quick three-count.

14. Segment: Daniel Bryan and Erik Rowan confronted Buddy Murphy in the locker room and beat him up until he admitted that he had lied to Roman Reigns about Rowan being the attacker.

15. Video package promoting the upcoming King Of The Ring Tournament, kicking off next Monday at Monday Night Raw.

16. Segment: The New Day were getting ready for their match with The Revival when Randy Orton comes out and accused Kofi of running away from their fight at SummerSlam. He instigated Kofi by bringing up his family and insinuated that Kofi let his boys down. Orton then challenged New Day by inserting himself into the match. The match now became a six-man tag match.

17. The Revival and Randy Orton defeated The New Day. The Revival pinned Xavier Woods after hitting the Shatter Machine. After the match, the Revival and Orton beat down the New Day. Orton deluvers RKOs to all three members of New Day.

18. Segment: Daniel Bryan told Roman Reigns they conducted their own investigation, and next week, they’ll bring the culprit as the show went off the air.
