Here are your WWE Monday Night RAW results from January 20, 2020:
Segment: RAW opens with Seth Rollins, along with AOP and Buddy Murphy, heading to the ring and brag about winning last week’s Fist Fight Match and eliminating The Big Show. They were interrupted by Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens, who were looking for a fight. Rollins agreed to fight them 4 against 2. Owens and Joe said they weren’t alone: The Viking Raiders showed up as backup, and the team of Joe, Owens, and The Vikings head to the ring and beat up the heels.
Back from commercial break, Rollins announces that he and his new disciple, Buddy Murphy, would challenge The Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Championship later tonight.
Match 1: Andrade (c) defeats Rey Mysterio in a Ladder Match for the US Title. Zelina Vega sat on top of the ladder to prevent Mysterio from grabbing the belt, which allowed Andrade to hit a Hammerlock DDT through a ladder bridge. With Mysterio incapacitated, Andrade was able to climb the ladder and retrieve the championship to win the match.
After the match, Andrade tried to Hammerlock DDT Mysterio onto the exposed concrete floor, but Humberto Carrillo returned to make the save.
A Martin Luther King Jr. tribute video aired.
Match 2: Aleister Black defeats a local jobber in mere seconds when the jobber started the match by running directly into the Black Mass Kick!!!
Segment: Brock Lesnar made his way to the ring with Paul Heyman delivering a promo about how Brock’s going to dominate everyone and win the Royal Rumble. They were interrupted by Ricochet, who came out and told Lesnar he wasn’t afraid of him. Lesnar kicked him in the balls and left with Heyman.
Match 3: Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton ended in No-Contest when AJ Styles and The O.C. interfered, attacking McIntyre. Orton returned to the ring with a chair to help McIntyre fight them off. After the match, Orton and McIntyre have a stare down in the ring, ending with Orton hitting an RKO “from outta nowhere.” As Orton left, McIntyre got on the microphone and said that at the Royal Rumble, he hopes they end up in the ring together so he can kick his head off!
Match 4: Becky Lynch defeats Kairi Sane via submission with the Disarmer. Asuka sat on the top of the ring post for majorit of the match, and attacked Lynch when it was over.
A Rocky Johnson tribute video aired.
Match 5: Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy defeat The Viking Raiders to win the WWE RAW Tag Team Titles. Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, and AOP were all ejected from ringside for brawling outside.
Match 6: Erick Rowan defeats Matt Hardy. Rowan won with an Iron Claw slam. During the match, Rowan’s pet “bit” him again, causing Rowan to slam the cage against the ring steps repeatedly.
Segment: The Singh Brothers tried to win the 24/7 Championship from Mojo Rawley during a backstage interview, but he easily destroyed them both.
Match 7: Bobby Lashley and Lana defeat Rusev and Liv Morgan. Lana disposed of Liv outside the ring. She then held onto Rusev’s leg to prevent him from hitting the Machka Kick, which left him distracted and fully open for a huge spear from Lashley for the win.
After the match, Lana and Lashley celebrated their win as the show went off the air ▪
