The following are the results of the August 26th, 2019 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, that emanated live from New Orleans, LA:
1. Segment: Sasha Banks kicked off the show making her entrance to ring. We got a recap of her past attacks on Natalya Neidhart from the last two weeks. Sasha gave a speech about how she was the Boss of the women’s division and was interrupted by Natalya who made way to the ring and a brawl broke out at ringside between the two, forcing a group of officials separate them.
2. Segment: The Street Profits (Ford and Dawkins) were backstage, hyping the show and they introduced us to the new Tag Team Turmoil Match for tonite featuring The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik), The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson), The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel), Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Gran Metallik), Heavy Machinery (Otis & Tucker), Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins and the odd pairing of Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode!
3. Match – King Of The Ring – Round 1: Ricochet defeats Drew McIntyre with the 630 to score the pinfall and move to the next round.
4. Segment: Backstage, Braun Strowman challenged Seth Rollins to a Universal Championship match and Seth agreed. Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship is now the main event of “Clash of Champions” next month!
5. Match – King Of The Ring – Round 1: Baron Corbin defeats The Miz with The End Of Days finisher and moves to the next round.
6. Segment: The OC, Anderson and Gallows, were interviewed backstage and they were not happy about the tag team turmoil match but vowed to win it.
7. Match: Bayley defeats Nikki Cross with a flying elbow from the top rope.
8. Segment: Kayla Braxton is backstage and interviews Strowman. He said no one can stop him from winning the United States Championship. He even hinted that by the end of “Clash Of Champions”, he could be a triple champion!
9. Match – 8 Team Tag Team Tutmoil: Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler defeat The OC, The Revival, The Viking Raiders, The B-Team, Heavy Machinery, Ryder and Hawkins and Lucha House Party to become the new #1 contenders for the RAW Tag Team Championships.
10. Match: Sasha Banks defeats Natalya via the Bank Statement submission. After the match, Sasha went back in and tortured Natalya again with the Bank Statement.
11. Segment: AJ Styles is backstage for an interview and says that after he beats Braun Strowman tonight, he’s going to give him exactly what he deserves: Nothing!
12. Match: Cedric Alexander defeats Cesaro with the Lumbar Check for the win.
12. Segment: Roode and Ziggler cut a promo backstage about going to Clash of Champions and walking out as new tag team champs.
13. Segment: The Street Profits, Ford and Dawkins were back and excited about a RAW afterparty while saying that the show was ‘lit’. Strowman showed up behind them and they freak out as he made his way out to the ring.
14. Video was shown of Bray Wyatt returning as well as a short recap of the FireFly Funhouse and turning into his Fiend persona saying “Let me in!”
15. Match: AJ Styles defeats Braun Strowman via wrongful disqualification and interference from The OC. As a result, Styles retains the United States Championship. After the match, Braun takes out his anger and frustration by decimating the entire OC out with vicious chair shots! As a final statement, he picks up Styles and hits him with his Running Monster Slam finisher to the delight of the crowd and screams in celebration as the show goes off the air.
