WWE Monday Night Raw – 08/05/2019 – (Results)

The following are the results of the August 5th, 2019 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, that emanated live from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:

1. 10-Bell salute to the shooting victims of both Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, TX featuring the entire roster onstage.

2. Segment: Samoa Joe comes out and interrupts the broadcast team of Renee Young, Michael Cole and Corey Graves and demands an apology from Roman Reigns after being acused of being the mystery assailant fron last week’s backstage equipment attack. Joe promises to shut down RAW.

3. Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeated Natalya Neidhart and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus by disqualification.

4. Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Rey Mysterio – with an assist from Zelina Vega.

5. Segment: Mike Kanellis pinned his own wife Maria Kanellis at the doctor’s office to win the 24/7 Championship.

6. Segment: R-Truth defeated Mike Kanellis to become an 11-time 24/7 Champion.

7. Segment: Universal Champion Brock Lesnar arrives to the ring with his advocate, Paul Heyman, who cuts a promo on how Lesnar decimated Rollins with last week’s attack. Out comes an injured Seth Rollins with a chair to confront Lesnar but he is viciously attacked again. Lesnar poses with the Universal title before leaving with Heyman. As medical staff try to tend to him, Rollins vows and guarantees that he will defeat Lesnar at SummerSlam.

8. Segment: Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is in the building and is the special guest referee in the match between Drew McIntyre and Cedric Alexander. NXT tag team champions, Street Profits, arrive backstage to acknowledge and pay respects to Angle. McIntyre comes in and says there could be severe consequences for Angle if he doesn’t call the match right down the middle tonight.

9. The Viking Raiders defeated and massacred two talent enhancement locals.

10. WWE aired a special tribute video honoring the memory of the late, great Harley Race.

11. Drew McIntyre vs. Cedric Alexander with special guest referee, Kurt Angle, ended in a No Contest after “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt attacked Kurt Angle.

12. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Xavier Woods & Big E Langston ended in a disqualification.

13. A.J. Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Ricochet, Big E and Xavier Woods in an impromptu 6-Man tag team match.

14. Segment: Samoa Joe heads to the ring awaiting Roman Reigns’ arrival. When he is informed that Reigns is arriving to the building, Joe heads to the parking lot to confront him. Reigns pulls up and has a verbal exchange with Joe before he dodges an intended vehicle attack. The mystery assailant backs up from the crash and drives off. Reigns is attended by WWE personel, medical staff as well as Triple H as Joe looks on.

15. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross defeated The IIconics, The Kabuki Warriors and Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

16. Segment: Miz TV contract between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Miz brought special guest, Hall Of Famer, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels with him. Ziggler cuts a promo on how he’ll be victorious at SummerSlam and signs the contract. Miz and HBK announced to Ziggler that he signed the contract so fast that he didn’t read the fine print: Dolph Ziggler will be facing WWE Hall of Famer, Bill Goldberg, whom Ziggler had insulted and disrespected weeks prior, at SummerSlam. Goldberg’s music hits and arrives to the ring while Ziggler hightails to the entrance. Goldberg tells Ziggler “You’re Next!” and signs the contract. As an angry Ziggler turns to leave the arena, HBK delivers a devastating Sweet Chin Music knocking out cold as the show went off the air.
