Rumors have been circulating for about month now that WWE Hall of Famer, Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland, could be making an in-ring return for the wrestling ring.
Late last week, there were speculative reports that Edge could be making an official return. The return appearance can come as early as WWE Royal Rumble in Houston, Texas next month — or at the very least, April’s WrestleMania 36 in Tampa.
That speculation came from a recent report from PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson, who claimed that Edge had re-signed with WWE. This all stemming following further rumors that WWE medics have officially cleared him for an in-ring return.
Rumors of Edge’s return to WWE started circulating the dirt sheets way back in October. Initially thought of as just that, rumors. However, further reports stated that he was in the middle of seeking medical clearance about a potential return. News also stated he had allegedly negotiated with both WWE and AEW prior to re-signing with WWE. To top it all off, Johnson also noted that Edge was spotted in Pittsburgh, home to WWE’s Dr. Joseph Maroon, around that time.
To note, Edge has denied the reports at the time that he had been cleared to wrestle again. He did admit that he believes he could wrestle a match if given the chance but said that he didn’t believe WWE medical would allow it. These comments were made during an edition of the E&C Pod of Awesomeness, the podcast show he co-hosts with long-time friend and tag-team partner, Christian.
Recently, Edge once again fired back at the in-ring return rumors this past Friday:
Still not and still not. Period.

Bear in mind there’s a lot to take in with those comments about his alleged return. This was done similarly like John Morrison. Morrison’s return to WWE was reported months ago. Though he publicly denied the reports a couple of times, it was eventually revealed that he did re-sign with the company.
Since retiring from WWE in 2011 due to career-threatening neck injuries, Edge’s physical moment in a WWE ring was when he speared Elias Samson last August at SummerSlam in his hometown in Toronto
