NXT: WAR GAMES 2019 – RESULTS – (11/23/19)

We open the show with Kayla Braxton announcing that Mia Yim has been “attacked backstage” and is out of the Women’s War Games match.

Opening Match: Angel Garza defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott via pinfall.

Backstage Segment: We see Mia Yim being loaded into an ambulance, and Women’s Team Captain, Rhea Ripley, tells Dakota Kai that she’ll be in the match, to sub for Yim.

Women’s War Games Match: Team Ripley (Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai & Tegan Nox) defeated Team Baszler (Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca BelAir & Kay Lee Ray)
Note: Despite the win, Team Ripley was handicapped in a 4-2 scenario – in a shocking turn of events, Kai turned heel and brutally and viciously attacked Nox, her own friend and partner. The action caused Kai to be ejected. Nox was treated for medical attention after her attack by Kai using the steel door on her head and knees.

Number One Contendership for NXT Title: Pete Dunne defeated Damien Priest and Killian Dain
Note: As a result of his win, Dunne earned a shot to face NXT Champion, Adam Cole, for the title at an upcoming date.

Finn Balor defeated Matt Riddle via pinfall

Men’s War Games: Team Ciampa (Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic & Kevin Owens) defeated Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong) via pinfall.
Note: Kevin Owens was revealed to be the fourth and final member of Team Ciampa. He showed up wearing his old NXT shirt and gear, thus implying he may be back on the roster.

The show ends with all members of Team Ciampa celebrating amongst themselves as the show fades to black.
