We now have a new Joker series announced at BookCon for DC Comics Black Label. Joker/Harley: Criminal Insanity will be a 9 issue Series that will focus on the 1st meeting between Joker and Doctor Harleen Quinzel and it will explore her decent into madness at the whim of our resident psychopath, the Clown Prince of Crime also known as The Joker.
This series will be written by Award Winning Author Kami Garcia and drawn by artists Mike Mayhew and Mico Suayan. Kami Garcia is known in the Comic Book world for writing the Teen Titans: Raven book which is going into a second printing. Garcia’s pitch for the Joker character in this story is “an intelligent and sane psychopath, who kills because he wants to, not because he suffers from delusions. To me, a version of the Joker, who is sane like John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy” We are crazy excited for what this Joker book can be and honestly can’t wait for October.
