Fortnite Season 6: Adds Raptors, Upgrades Performance and Graphics For The Nintendo Switch

Fortnite Season 6’s latest update adds Raptors to the island and adds performance and graphics upgrades for the Nintendo Switch

Fortnite Season 6 has brought the island to its primal roots by introducing primal weapons, including bows and arrows and the ability to hunt and craft all while trying to claim victory in the battle royale. This huge change to the core meta of Fortnite has changed the game drastically and now with the addition of Raptors things are about to get even wilder.

Newly hatched from eggs scattered across the Island, Raptors join the hunt to challenge your spot as the apex predator. Raptors roam in pairs; don’t be surprised if you take one on and their packmate rushes forward to back up their kin. Peerless among the Island’s Wildlife, Raptors will fight whoever and whatever crosses their path! Check out the trailer below!

In addition to the latest update, Fortnite has also upgraded the performance and graphical look of the game on the Nintendo Switch. The update brings performance and GPU changes on the switch when playing the console in handheld mode and when it console is docked which allows you to play on a tv. Here’s what players can expect:

  • Up to a 38% improvement in handheld pixels with the update
  • More consistent framerate, with fewer hitches, resulting in a smoother experience overall
  • Switch players are going to save about 140MB of storage space with the new update.

All in all players Nintendo Switch players playing Fortnite Season 6 will have a better looking game with vastly improved performances and improved memory storage which will allow the game to run much better than it was before.
