Queen of the South’s Dailyn Rodriguez is developing a live-action Wonder Girl series alongside Berlanti Productions for The CW

Titans may have been the first time many viewers might have been introduced to the superheroine that is Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) played by Conor Leslie. But Dailyn Rodriguez and Greg Berlanti are now paving the way to introduce audiences to a new Wonder Girl in their upcoming Wonder Girl live-action tv drama series at The CW.

As initially reported by Deadline, Greg Berlanti and The CW are further expanding their Arrowverse television universe by now adding Wonder Girl into the mix and in the process further pushing the envelope for proper representation in popular media as the series is aiming to have a Latina lead in their upcoming series. Making this the first-ever live-action DC project featuring a Latina character and superhero as its lead.

The series will follow the origins of Yara Flor a character created by comic book writer/artist Joelle Jones. Flor, a Latina Dreamer was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God learns that she is Wonder Girl. With her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world.
