To the absolute shock of no one, The Mandalorian is getting a third season!
That’s right everyone, not only did The Mandalorian get a second season after a stellar debut season. The series is already working on a third season Variety has reported.
The second season of The Mandalorian doesn’t arrive until later this Fall but that hasn’t stopped Disney from pushing forward another season ahead of the second season’s release. Variety reports that show creator, writer, and producer, Jon Favreau “has been writing season 3 for a while”. But it doesn’t end there. The visual development team, led by LucasFilm’s Vice President and Creative Director Doug Chiang has been creating concepts for The Mandalorian Season 3 for the past few weeks.
“We’ve just started pre-production and are looking into further adventures for the Mandalorian in Season 3,”Variety.com
The Mandalorian Season 2 wrapped production early last month, avoiding all the onslaught of production shut down that has hit Hollywood over the past month due to the coronavirus pandemic. While we won’t see more of Mando and Baby Yoda until the Fall, fans anticipating the return of Mando won’t have to wait much longer.

In more recent news, if you haven’t heard about it already. Fan-favorite Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of The Mandalorian as Ahsoka Tano. Joining her this coming season is WWE Superstar Sasha Banks in an undisclosed role.
