The rumors and speculations regarding DC Universe’s Stargirl airing on The CW have now been confirmed. During yesterday’s Crisis On Infinite Earths: Aftermath episode, the official trailer for Stargirl premiered.
The big takeaway from the trailer was not just how good the show looks in terms of production and quality, but the lack of DC Universe promotion attached to the trailer. While the series is a DC Universe original series, the trailer was fully loaded with CW tags and promo, and the trailer did premiere during peak programming with The CW coming off hot from the third episode of their biggest crossover event to date. Coincidence? I think not.
Stargirl is slated to premiere on both the DC Universe and The CW in the Spring of 2020. Stargirl will air first on the DC Universe and will air the following day on The CW as per sources. How will this come into play when HBO Max arrives next year remains to be seen. What is the future of the DC Universe with Titans having a blink and you’ll miss it cameo on Crisis, and with Stargirl being the first-ever DC Universe original series to air on regular television?
