DC Universe’s upcoming original series Stargirl starring Brec Bassinger is officially arriving in the Spring of 2020. The official announcement came from DC Universe’s official press release. Included in that press release was the official confirmation that Stargirl will indeed be airing on The CW Network the day after the series premieres on the DC Universe confirming a long-time rumor that was making rounds around the internet.
Additionally, Stargirl star Brec Bassinger is set to make an appearance in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event Crisis On Infinite Earths. Where and how Stargirl will be brought into the fold is another question entirely, but as with everything else, we can expect it to have some kind of connection to the Anti-Monitor.
A brand new logo for Stargirl has released, as well as an official plot synopsis, both can be seen below:
“The new DC Universe drama series Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (series star Brec Bassinger, Bella and the Bulldogs, School of Rock, The Goldbergs) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.”
Stargirl premieres on both the DC Universe and The CW Spring 2020.
