Star Wars series from Leslye Headland in Development


A female-led Star Wars series is currently in development from Russian Doll co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer Leslye Headland, Variety has reported.

According to Variety, details on the new series are currently under wraps. But the new female-led series will be taking place in a different timeline in the Star Wars universe. Headland is currently set to write the new series and will also serve as the series’ showrunner.

Ahsoka Tano

Seeing how this is a female-centric series, with heavy rumors pointing that Rosario Dawson, being cast as Ahsoka Tano, will be having a solo Disney+ series. This is just massive speculation on our end but it could be possible that this new report on a female-led Star Wars series, paired with the rumors of Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano contract including a spin-off solo series. It could be quite plausible.

In the meantime though, we’ll have to sit back and wait until more information is released to Hollywood trades and the public in general.
