Jessica Jones herself Krysten Ritter is now rumored to appear in Marvel Studios’ upcoming She-Hulk Series
The long-time wish of seeing the Marvel Netflix characters in the MCU seems to be slowly coming into fruition. The #SaveDaredevil has been something that’s been very prominent on social media more specifically Twitter and fans of the Netflix Daredevil series just go their wish as Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox is set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 film that’s due out at the end of this year.
Now whether you were a huge fan of her or not, Jessica Jones is another character many fans have wanted to see join the ranks of the MCU and this is the second Marvel Netflix character that just might make the transition over to the MCU if this rumor turns out to be true. While there are no real specifics as to what the role of a potential Jessica Jones appearance in She-Hulk might pertain to, seeing a private investigator like Jessica Jones appear in a lawyer/crime show like She-Hulk is intriguing and exciting enough to get fans more vested into the new series.
We’ve known for a long time now that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has wanted to use the Marvel Netflix characters to some degree and that he was interested in keeping a few of those actors for the same roles they portrayed over on Netflix. What we also know is that Feige does not want to fully incorporate Jeph Loeb’s Marvel Netflix Universe into the MCU. All those tidbits all point to a soft reboot for each character so they can properly fit into Feige MCU continuity.
With Daredevil confirmed to appear in Spider-Man 3, with the hopes that he might appear in She-Hulk as well; and now Jessica Jones rumored to appear in She-Hulk too. It’s only a matter of time before we get word that The Punisher will appear in the upcoming Moon Knight series.
Before the end of 2020 Marvel had regained the full rights to all of The Defenders characters which appeared in the Marvel Netflix universe and while word was that Feige wasn’t too keen on bringing back Mike Colter and Finn Jones as Luke Cage and Danny Rand respectively, fans have been adamant about bringing them back anyways as recasting the roles would seem a bit unfair. The real question is, where would you place them?
Jessica Jones Season 1-3 are streaming now on Netflix, She-Hulk is set to make her live-action debut on Disney+ in 2022.
