Green Lantern fans rejoice! The Emerald Knight is finally getting his willful justice. As announced yesterday by HBO Max. Greg Berlanti is developing not one, but two live-action DC series for the upcoming streaming service.
Many fans are familiar with Berlanti as he has spearheaded the CW’s Arrowverse and has produced both Titans and Doom Patrol for DC Universe. Berlanti can now add Green Lantern and Adam Strange to his long list of DC Heroes he’s brought to life on the small screen.
While details are scarce for the Green Lantern series, Berlanti did drop some minor details for both Green Lantern and Strange Adventures.
“Both of these original DC properties we’ll be creating for HBO Max will be unlike anything seen on television,” said Berlanti. “An anthology series of cautionary tales set in a world where superpowers exist, and, in what promises to be our biggest DC show ever made, we will be going to space with a Green Lantern television series, but I can’t reveal any more about that just yet.”
According to Variety, Adam Strange will be an anthology series featuring different characters from across the DC Universe canon. The series will consist of one-hour episodes presenting close-ended stories about the intersecting lives of superhumans and ordinary human beings.
