Could Darth Maul be making his live-action return in the Obi-Wan Disney+ series? That’s a question many fans have been asking since the announcement of the Obi-Wan Disney+ series. While not many details have been revealed about the series, speculation about seeing Darth Maul in the flesh once again began when he made a brief cameo via hologram during Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Now you’re probably thinking what’s the point of even asking this obvious question? Well, Darth Maul actor Ray Park took to Instagram today to post a new look of himself as the Sith Lord.
Based on the actual caption on the photo, this could be a simple behind the scenes image for Solo: A Star Wars Story. If we pay attention to the hashtags used, it seemingly confirms to be just that; a behind the scenes image for Solo. We all know that Darth Maul was presumed dead when he fell to his “death” during Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, but that wasn’t the case. We once again see Darth Maul alive and in the flesh during the Star Wars animated series where he was ultimately defeated by Obi-Wan. This time for good.
Once again, this could simply be a behind the scenes image for Solo, but is Ray Park implying something more? The Obi-Wan series is and will be a thing in the near future and seeing how a lot of the plot points from the animated Star Wars Universe has slowly been making its way to the live-action Star Wars Universe, its a possibility that we can see Ray Park once again reprise his role as the Sith Lord and ultimately face-off with Obi-Wan once again.
This is just pure speculation on our end, which is perfectly normal; but of course, let us know what you think or how would you like to see Darth Maul once again.
