It’s time to dive back into the world of Atlantis, as James Wan is set to executive produce a three-part animated series titled Aquaman: King of Atlantis.
Every episode will have its own storyline following the adventures of Aquaman as protector of the deep. Beginning with Aquaman’s first day on the job as King of Atlantis, “he’s got a LOT of catching up to do. Luckily, he has his two royal advisors to back him up – Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess. Between dealing with unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him, Aquaman is going to have to rise to the challenge and prove to his subjects, and to himself, that he’s the right man for the trident!”
There’s no word on who will be voicing the main and supporting cast of the series. Based on the description given, it seems like the series will serve as a pseudo-sequel to 2018’s Aquaman. If so, bringing the already established cast would do the series some justice.
While no release date has been announced for Aquaman: King of Atlantis, HBO Max will release this Spring.
