REPORT: THE CW & WARNER BROS. TELEVISION DEVELOPING A SUPERMAN & LOIS TV SHOW

It is being reported that The CW and Warner Bros. Television are currently interested in developing a “Superman” televison show with actors Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, reprising their roles as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

According to reports, the series would be tentatively titled Superman & Lois. The show’s planned focus would be to follow “the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist [as they] deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”

Hoechlin made his debut as the Arrowverse’s Man of Steel in Supergirl’s Season 2 premiere. Tulloch joined when she was cast in last year’s “Elseworlds” crossover. The pair will be returning to the roles this coming December as part of the five-hour crossover event, “Crisis on Infinite Earths” which will also introduce their new child. When last seen on television, a newly-engaged Clark and Lois had moved to Argo after learning she was pregnant.

Former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing is reportedly heading up and writing the pilot script. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns will also serve as executive producers, under Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.
