REVIEW: JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT

JAY AND SILENT

In spectacular fashion, the dynamic duo is back! And this is not a remake! What can I say, if you are a fan of Kevin Smith you will love this movie. Pretty much picks up from J&SB Strikes Back with a 18 year jump. The reboot of Bluntman and Chronic has reared its ugly head again and now (SPOILER JUST IN CASE) attempts to take their names. So of course the duo off to Hollywood to stop the movie who has claimed threatened to steal their names. And off to the races we go!

The team is still as in sync as they were years ago, which is easy when only Jay talks haha. But seriously the movie is exactly what we needed, the callbacks to all Kevin Smiths previous movies; and all the butt jokes it was truly nostalgic. And introducing the all star studded cast of cameos from Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and more over it was phenomenal!

The movie by no means takes itself seriously but you can see the moral of the story is about life changes and fatherhood for obvious reasons. Many touching moments as well as new ones. But by no means does it diminish the funny. Jason Mewes, and Kevin Smith are in great form with all the shenanigans the two get into. I can keep on rambling but I won’t and finish off with this.

It’s a feel-good movie for anyone who is not easily offended. If you haven’t seen it yet I suggest you do… ESPECIALLY if you’re a Kevin Smith fan.
