Deadline has reported that an untitled live-action Transformers film has been dated for June 24, 2022, by Paramount Pictures.
Earlier this year, in January, Paramount Pictured announced two new live-action films set in the Transformers universe. One of the two films will reportedly be based on the Transformers spin-off series Beastwars which sees the robots transform into animal-like beasts, as opposed to the traditional sports cars they are most commonly known for.
The Beastwars film adaptation is coming from Murder Mystery scribe James Vanderbilt. While the second film, which is believed to be some sort of sequel to Travis Knight’s Bumblebee, is coming from John Wick Chapter 3 executive producer and Army of the Dead scribe Joby Harold. It is yet unclear, as per Deadline, which of these two films will be taking that June 24, 2022 release date.
