Hamilton star Anthony Ramos is nearing final talks to star in the lead role of the next Transformers live-action film
News for the upcoming Transformers projects has been coming in hot this past week. Just a few days ago it was reported that ‘Charm City Kings’ director Angel Manuel Soto who was recently tapped to direct Warner Bros. live-action ‘Blue Beetle’ film was tapped to direct a new Transformers film which will exist outside the main continuity of Paramount Pictures’ ‘Transformers’ franchise.
This specific project however will be helmed by ‘Creed II’ director Steven Caple Jr and joining him in the lead role is ‘Hamilton’ standout Anthony Ramos who will also be leading the charge in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘In the Heights’ feature film adaptation which is set to release in select theaters and on HBO Max this summer.
While details for this specific Transformers project still remain scarce, Deadline is also reporting that screen tests will be happening sooner rather than later to find an actress who will star alongside Ramos in Caple’s film. Deadline is reporting that Kiki Layne and Dominique Fishback are among those who will be meeting with Paramount Pictures for the co-starring role.
