Spider-Man 3: Tom Holland Denies Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire’s Involvement In The Film

Tom Holland is terrible at keeping secrets. The star of Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 3 now denies Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire’s involvement in the film.

It’s no secret that Tom Holland is bad at keeping secrets. The Hollywood superstar is known for giving away surprises in interviews and revealing scripts on his social media. Even with the last two team-up Avengers movies, the directors did not allow him to read the full script in fear of him spilling more secrets. In the latest rumors, Garfield and Maguire are reportedly joining Tom Holland in Spider-Man 3 if Sony and Marvel manage to seal the deal.

Fans have been excited, to say the least about the possibility of the Spiderverse finally coming to fruition and see their separate personalities clash and ultimately work together. In a recent interview with Esquire, Tom Holland insisted that the rumors were simply rumors.

“No, no, they will not be appearing in this film. Unless they have hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me. But as of yet, no. It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making.”

While his response is a bit misleading, since the veteran Spider-Men have reportedly been spotted on set. While these set photos have yet to be confirmed as real set photos from the set of Spider-Man. Given the multiple reports about Garfield and Maguire reprising their roles in the film, we can easily debunk Tom Holland’s response while also giving him credit for finally trying his best to debunk or deny recent reports.

So, what is fiction and what is true? The last time we saw Peter Parker, his identity had been exposed, how will that come into play? Perhaps he will try and use the other spidermen to prove himself innocent? And will that be the only plot involved in the third movie?

But something tells me the young actor has been given false information and not even the full script. In another quote from Esquire, he admitted:

“I honestly have no idea what the film is about and I’m eight weeks into shooting it.”

The same thing happened during the filming of Avengers: Endgame. Either Holland truly doesn’t know about the script or he might be lying to the press which as I mentioned before is even more amazing. The internet could break the moment it finds out Tom Holland: The World’s Worst Secret-Keeper has finally kept a secret from everyone.

Tom Holland mostly does this with movies he knows fans are eagerly anticipating. With his other films like Uncharted or Cherry, coming to AppleTV, he has no problem withholding information and merely giving the most minute of details that are meant to be told. Something tells me Holland knows what he is doing.

He can’t be fired because his fans would be in an uproar (you could not find a better person to play the young hero in my humble opinion), so he leaks what he knows will nearly break the internet and he comes out looking like a sweet innocent dork. It’s a win-win for him. And a massive win for the film overall as his little hiccups draws fans in even more.

While he trends on Twitter for having a modern-day online interview, with his near-perfect top and partial nude bottom, he once again is on everyone’s minds. We can’t wait to see him in action again as the witty teenager, but Marvel should know it would be a disservice to their fan base for not giving them what they want. Time and time again, fans are very specific on what they want in the MCU, and yes it’s very hard to please them all; in this instance, it is very easy to deliver on the wants.

We shall see how things play out as we closer to film’s release which is later this year, that is if Sony Pictures doesn’t delay it yet again or if Tom Holland can hold his tongue before then

Tom Holland, if you are reading this, do not hesitate to give us false information or even the right information. Either way, giving slight spoilers are fun to watch over and over on YouTube and chatting on forums about what you had said or what the secret the directors don’t want to be spilled. It’s juicy gossip that we, your fans love, and are guaranteed to talk about.
