The sequel to Sony’s hit animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse recently announced and an official teaser trailer was released as part of that announcement. One of the major talking points about that teaser was the multitude of Spider logos seen flashing in and out of the center of the trailer and which Spider-People would be included in this sequel.
A fan took to Twitter to ask for the unthinkable. An opportunity to design Japanse Spider-Man. On the off chance that by some divine miracle, this version of Spider-Man would appear in the film. Phil Lord, producer of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse responded to the said tweet, revealing that Japanse Spider-Man has already been designed for the film.
Fans of the Japanese Spider-Man, or Spider-Man fans in general for that matter, know that Japanese Spider-Man became part of official Marvel Comics canon back in 2015 when former Spider-Man writer Dan Slott brought him and his giant mech into the fold in The Amazing Spider-Man #12.
