Paramount Pictures and Sega Sammy have officially announced that a sequel to their hit Sonic The Hedgehog film is in early development.
Sonic The Hedgehog is one of the few live-action video game adaptations that have become a massive box office hit and with raving reviews to garnish that unimaginable success. But success is success nonetheless.
The announcement which was exclusively reported by Variety earlier today states that no huge details on the film have been revealed in terms of returning cast members and things of that nature. But Jeff Fowler is officially set to return as the film’s director, while screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller will return to write the script.
Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara will be producing the upcoming film, while Hajime and Haruki Satomi and Tim Miller will shrive as executive producers.
