RUMOR: MARVEL REGAINS FULL RIGHTS TO THE HULK AND NAMOR

HULK

It looks like all of Marvel’s characters are finding their way back home. It was always Kevin Feige’s dream to get all of Marvel’s characters back home and all under the same roof. If this new rumor report from MCU Cosmic turns out to be true, Kevin Feige may have just gotten his wish (Spider-Man aside).

According to this rumor report, Marvel Studios has reportedly regained the full rights to Hulk and Namor the Submariner. For those unaware, Marvel and Universal Pictures have shared rights to Namor and the Hulk. That is the sole reason we have yet to get another Hulk solo film or a solo film, and appearance from Namor in the MCU. Rumors as of late have been rampant when it comes to Namor with the biggest one being that he will be the main villain in Black Panther 2.

HULK

We know very little about Black Panther 2 since the film isn’t releasing until May 2022. But if Marvel does indeed have the full rights to Namor back in their hands, we could potentially see Namor in Black Panther 2 or even see Namor on a new Defenders team, same goes for Hulk.

We can also see Namor make an appearance in the yet unconfirmed and unannounced Fantastic Four film. All that’s known about the upcoming Fantastic Four film is that Kevin Feige had no time to discuss at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.

As for Hulk, he’s another member of The Defenders and seeing how his arc in the MCU concluded in Avengers: Endgame. We aren’t too sure where Marvel wants to go next with the Raging Green Monster. Last we heard, Kevin Feige has had meetings with Mark Ruffalo and both have been bouncing ideas back and forth to see where they can take Hulk next.

Another thing fans have been wanting to see is a showdown between Bruce Banner/Hulk and Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk. Something that seemed imminent since Ross’s return to the MCU back in Captain America: Civil War. What else have fans been clamoring for? Hulk vs Wolverine!

HULK

This one seems like a bit of a longshot at the moment since Marvel isn’t planning on fully introducing all of the Mutants any time soon. While Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are mutants, they haven’t been considered mutants due to Fox owning the term and having the rights to the characters until recently. This could be subject to change once WanadaVision comes around but we’ll have to wait and see…
