It’s that time of year where we get a little taste of what’s coming to theaters in the year 2020. As 2019 draws to a close, a new report from scooper DanielRPK on Twitter reveals that new trailers for Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984, and a second trailer for Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey will be arriving sometime next week.
Last month we got official announcements from Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, and the cast of Birds of Prey, that both films will be present at this year’s CCXP Brazil Comic-Con. Panels for both WW84 and Birds of Prey will be held with both panels confirmed to have surprises for fans in attendance. Now piecing that together with Daniel’s scoop, we can at least give his report some credence.
As for Marvel Studios Black Widow, the film is officially releasing on May 1, 2020. As with every May Marvel release, an official teaser typically releases either at the end of November or the first or second week of December. Going back to Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War both trailers arrived between the last week of November and the first week of December and both films had initial May release dates…EARLY May release dates for that matter. Once again, given Marvel’s trailer release pattern, we can also give Daniel’s Black Widow scoop some credence.
007: No Time to Die is also slated to release an official trailer next week. Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is currently rumored to have its first trailer arriving next week as well.
