It’s Morphin Time for Paramount Pictures as they are now in active development of a Power Rangers reboot with Jonathan Entwistle, creator of the Netflix Orginal Series The End of the F—ing World.
Power Rangers was brought back to the silver screen in 2017 by Lionsgate. Unfortunately for the movie studio, the film bombed and the sequel was almost immediately scrapped. In 2018 Hasbro bought the IP from creator Haim Saban and will now produce the new reboot for Paramount under their film banner, Allspark Pictures, the same studio who produced the live-action Transformers films.
This new Power Rangers reboot will be penned by Patrick Burleigh (Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway). The plot will find the Rangers stuck in the 1990s due to a time travel element and in Back to Future fashion, the Rangers will have to find a way back to their present time.
