Ahsoka Tano may finally be making her live-action debut in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
J.J. Abrams recently sat down with Japanese news outlet Sora News and discussed how the director handled directing and co-writing what ending of the Skywalker Saga. During the closing moments of the interview, Abrams revealed to the interviewer that his favorite Star Wars character was the only and only Han Solo.
Abrams followed suit and asked the interviewer the same question, the interviewer revealed that Ahsoka Tano was their favorite Star Wars character, in response Abrams stated the following, “Hmm, Ahsoka, huh? Well, then you’ll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker.”
Fans of the Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars have been clamoring for a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. If Ahsoka indeed makes a minor cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, it wouldn’t be the first time that characters from the animated Star Wars Universe have made their transition into the live-action Star Wars Universe. Rogue One, The Mandalorian, and The Rise of Skywalker have/will feature characters, ships, and droids only seen in The Clone Wars animated series.
