The highly anticipated Godzilla vs Kong was slated to bring the massive showdown to theaters across the world in the coming months. A showdown for the ages! Unfortunately, fans will now have to wait another eight months from the initial film’s release to watch the film. Warner Bros. has now moved Godzilla vs Kong down to November 20, 2020.
The delay is presumably due to the underperformance of Godzilla: King of the Monsters this past summer. While that hasn’t been officially confirmed as the sole reason for the delay, Warner Bros. Studios boss Toby Emmerich revealed that the film would release later in 2020 so the studio can deliver an A+ movie.
Godzilla vs Kong is a showdown that many fans clamored for so delaying it to give the fans what they truly want is something that should be considered as a smart move.
