The summer is heating up, and all the while Hollywood has come to an absolute halt with the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes as both actors and writers fight for their rightfully deserved rights and fair pay, content for consumers to consume has been rather scarce. The strikes have caused production halts, delayed releases and have even affected fan conventions and events. Nonetheless, there is still content to be released despite these strikes as most of the titles releasing wrapped production long before and leading up to the current strikes.
Compared to other months, Disney+ is looking rather light in the month of August. Despite that, Disney has three major titles releasing this month on Disney+ which includes the highly-acclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (currently streaming), James Gunn’s final MCU film as he now spearheads DC Studios as its co-CEO, writer, producer, and director. Fans can also look forward to the season four premiere of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and the highly-anticipated live-action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger in Star Wars: Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson.
