Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett is currently in talks to play Lilith in Lionsgate’s upcoming Borderlands live-action adaptation.
Announced just a few months ago, Lionsgate is developing a live-action adaptation of the hit video games franchise Borderlands. The film will be produced by Avi and Ari Arad Productions, alongside Erik Feig under his PictureStart production studio. Emmy Award winner Craig Mazin has written the most recent rough draft for the upcoming film.
Landing an actress of such high caliber like Cate Blanchett will be a huge win for both the studio and the film itself, as Lilith is one of the most prominent characters in the Borderlands video games. While nothing is yet official, having this initial bit of news regarding the cast of the film means that the film is indeed happening and in deep development.
