Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is poised to launch Phase 5 of the MCU into the depths of the Multiverse Saga full throttle as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp look to take on the next big bad of the MCU, Kang the Conqueror; a role that marks the first appearance of Jonathan Majors as the Multiverse Saga’s big bad, but also the second appearance of Majors in a Kang-related role’ with the first being a Kang variant, He Who Remains, as seen in the season finale of “Loki” Season One.
Last night Marvel Studios held its red carpet world premiere for the upcoming film which saw the film’s stars, filmmakers, producers, celebrity guests, and TikTok stars grace the floor for photo ops with themselves and the hundreds of fans who were there to greet the stars. Those in attendance also got to see the film quite early and were able to provide their initial reactions and sentiments on social media shortly after the film concluded.
While not all journalists or press representatives got to see the film, those who did, brought forth a mixed bag of reactions to the launch of Phase 5 of the MCU, which by the looks of the sentiments we have posted below, many expectations were met while others were not. One thing’s for certain is that Jonathan Majors’ debut as Kang the Conqueror has wowed critics already, with many praising the hot actor as the film’s standout, which we were all expecting. If you weren’t expecting that, we highly recommend that you watch more films.

Here’s What Critics Are Saying About Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania
#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is the best of the trilogy. Higher stakes, dangers & repercussions. Its also got one the best MCU villains in #Kang. As soon as #JonathanMayors comes in, its his show. Kang is a scary lean-mean multiverse big baddie. Also, 2 cool post credits scenes. pic.twitter.com/t1V8HP2dsO

#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is the most mature installment of the franchise. Driven by emotion, it opens Phase 5 with exciting new action set pieces and sets the stage for the rest of the Multiverse Saga. Equal balance heart, humor, and excitement! Majors is a standout as Kang! pic.twitter.com/cmNZo5u9Wq

Jonathan Majors is a force in #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania. He’s compelling, chilling, and already giving a top notch performance. I love the complexity he brings to Kang with literally a single look. MCU really won with this casting pic.twitter.com/4W8VCLGFBv

Had a blast with #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania Paul Rudd has never been better & Jonathan Majors effortlessly conquers every second of screen-time he gets, BUT the real star of the film is Jeff Loveness’ script: a reminder of how beautifully strange & mysterious the MCU still is. pic.twitter.com/MYoL6WPlmU

Had an absolute blast watching #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania. Creative, irresistibly energetic and filled with some great action sequences. Welcome Jonathan Majors -such a bad ass. The effects are superb. pic.twitter.com/KdVB7qvl2E

The best Star Wars movie since 2018 is #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania. It’s a huge sci-fi adventure with gorgeous world building that feels almost little un-Marvel in how much world building there is. But it’s got humor, heart, Kang completely rules & Michelle Pfeiffer steals it. pic.twitter.com/vRO2Poko2s

I absolutely loved Jeff Loveness’s script for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It’s one of the best that Marvel’s had. This movie feels big and sets up perfectly for the future. #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania pic.twitter.com/z4mEw5EOi0

It’s truly the beginning of the #KANG dynasty! No surprise, Jonathan Majors is awesome. He brings a Shakespearean gravitas to the MCU & I just need more! #Marvel #AntMan #AntManAndTheWasp #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania pic.twitter.com/JnkoUBVItr
#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania kicks off Phase 5 with one of the MCUs most fascinating entries. This movie is Star Wars meets #AntMan and I dug it for the most part. Jonathan Majors DEMANDS your attention as #Kang and he absolutely SHINES. BIG implications for the future too! pic.twitter.com/VdFfo3Q9MI

The more I think about Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the more I get excited to see it again. We all know Jonathan Majors can act, but DANG, he was BORN to play Kang! His conversations with EVERYONE else in this film are bone-chilling.#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania pic.twitter.com/fznksYBHtu

Thanos was the appetizer while Jonathan Majors #KangTheConqueror is the main course

Majors plays Kang with brilliance and confidence; a menacing and cunning villain with a hint of charm.
Kang dominates physically and mentally #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania pic.twitter.com/LOmAUlqdIj
#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania kicks off Phase 5 of the MCU with a heaping helping of Jonathan Majors as a deadly serious villain for the Multiverse Saga! pic.twitter.com/7XzVIARS8e

#AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania should have sparked Phase 5 with a bang, but it misses the mark. The story is plagued with filler, while sufficient, lacks depth. However, Majors does give an outstanding performance as the cunning and ruthless #Kang. I wish it had left an impression. pic.twitter.com/2PFB2lMWOg
