Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Who Is Lady Hellbender?

Eager fans have been waiting for some news on the latest Guardians of the Galaxy. A new trailer came out with a prime focus on Lady Hellbender. People want to know who she is and why she’s the biggest threat? This year’s E3 Guardians of the Galaxy was revealed as a single-player experience where players take the role of Star-Lord. The release is set for October 26th, with more details to come, with the first reveal of Lady Hellbender.

Lady Hellbender is the leader of the Hellraisers, Queen of Seknarf Nine, and notorious monster collector. In the trailer, the player tries to fake out Lady Hellbender, by selling her a pretend rare monster being Groot or Rocket. Peter Quill/Star-Lord convinces Drax to negotiate with her. Star-Lord informs her that he is the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. But it is all up to the player from that point on. Definitely, something that leaves a fan on edge.

Darryl Purdy shared that Lady Hellbender is a fan favorite that brings out an unexpected dynamic between her and a certain Destroyer. He shared some cinematic insights on the production side. There were up to six hours of interactive cinematics within the game.

“Lady Hellbender is a fan-favorite character from Marvel’s recent comic lore, and we were keen to ensure her place in our Guardians universe reflects the complex personality, depth, and nature fans expect to see. And with humor instilled in every aspect of our game, this gave us an opportunity to flip expectations with the story and introduce an unexpected dynamic between her and a certain Destroyer.”

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One consoles, and PC Digital. A cloud version will be available for the Nintendo Switch in select locations.
