Electronic Arts and Maxis announced the launch of The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack. The expansion pack features a garden-to-table lifestyle of raising animals, growing oversized crops, and meeting locals in this picturesque village!
Some Key Features of The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack:
Embrace the village life– The village of Henford-on-Bagley gives Sims the option to explore the countryside and everything it has to offer! Sims can go on picnics, kick back and enjoy the outdoors. Sims can help local villagers out with tasks and hang out at the local pub afterward.
Raise or Befriend Animals- The Sims are able to raise their own animals to get fresh eggs, milk, and materials. If you can gain the trust of foxes and rabbits they will help you with your farm and you can give animals as presents! I have always wanted to befriend woodland creatures!
Live Off the Land– The pack has a Simple Living Lot Challenge where there are recipes that require fresh ingredients for each meal. Sims can grow, raise, buy them at the market, and forage for them. The Finchwick Fair is a great place to get oversized ingredients to complete this challenge. This is if you want to really make a name for yourself in the village!
Fun fact: The music in the game was made by an indie rock band called Japanese Breakfast! What an awesome band to collaborate with for a farm simulation experience! If you are looking for a quaint, laid-back gaming experience this will fulfill that. Surround yourself with the beauty and landscape of the countryside without leaving your city. I would personally get this just to live my dreams of befriending wild animals.
