Mortal Kombat has officially released a brand-new gameplay trailer for the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker. The trailer itself is amazing and what sets it over the top it’s the Easter Eggs sprinkled throughout Joker’s fighting style and the new Elseworlds Skins coming to the game when Joker becomes available.
As seen in the trailer (above) Joker has a variety of tricks in his arsenal. His cane is as deadly as it is stylish, and when he uses his fatal blows to repeatedly smash his opponents head into a pool of blood is highly reminiscent of the unfortunate death of Jason Todd (insert sad face). Joker also uses a wheelchair as a combo opener which is a nice reference to Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl aka Oracle. His Batman puppet is a nice way to insult and make fun of the Dark Knight in true Joker fashion.
As with the arrival of every DLC character, new skins are added to the game. This time we see a Batman Who Laughs skin for Noob Saibot, a Killer Croc skin for Baraka, a Catwoman skin for Kitana, and a Darkseid skin for Geras.
Early access begins on January 28th.
