Eisner and Harvey Award winning Michael Avon Oeming, co-creator of Powers and The United States of Murder, writer of Thor: Ragnarok and Red Sonja, returns to Image Comics with a brand new, ongoing, extra-length quarterly – The After Realm.
The new ongoing takes place in the aftermath of Ragnarok, the Norse mythology equivalent to the ‘End Of Days’. In The After Realm #1, we are introduced to lead protagonist, Oona, an elven ranger, who sets out on a journey into the post-apocalyptic world to discover the fate of the old gods. But first, “she must fulfill an oath to a lost friend that could doom what’s left of the Nine Realms”, according to Image Comics’ press release.
Oeming is writing and drawing the series, which serves as a perfect new fantasy for role playing gamers, with his long-time collaborator/wife, Taki Soma, on colors.
