Legendary writer Chris Claremont forever changed X-Men comic book mythology with GOD LOVES, MAN KILLS story in 1982’s MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL #5. The issue told a heartbreaking yet thought-provoking story about mutant metaphor regarding hatred and prejudice – the likes that readers had never seen before!
In GOD LOVES, MAN KILLS, the X-Men are relunctantly forded to join their archenemy, Magneto, for the first time, pitting all of mutantkind against the worst humanity has to offer. The story was illustrated by comics legend Brent Anderson. It depicted a world that was all too familiar to readers and continues to inspire X-Men stories today.
Marvel continues honoring Chris Claremont’s 50 years of brilliant contributions to Marvel Comics as well as celebrate the landmark story with a set of stunning variant covers by Eisner Award-winning artist, Marcos Martin (DAREDEVIL, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN)!
