TOKYOPOP Valentine's Day Sale The Nerdy Basement

Celebrate and Spread the Love with TOKYOPOP’s Valentine’s Day Manga Sale

Valentine’s Day is almost here and to celebrate the day of love and friendship TOKYOPOP has announced a special manga sale. The sale started yesterday February 12 but is running for the next week ending on February 19. Throughout the Valentine’s Day sale, all print titles ordered via the TOKYOPOP.com website will be 40% off and include FREE shipping. Additionally, all orders placed during the promotion will include a special full-color 5×7 inch postcard for the webtoon series STAR CROSSED by creator Crimson Chains.

Manga and romance fans are invited to dive into a wide array of intriguing TOKYOPOP titles that celebrate modern love in all its varied ways. One of our personal recommendations is CAPTAIN LASERHAWK: A BLOOD DRAGON REMIX – CRUSHING LOVE, an original boys’ love manga inspired by the Netflix anime series created by Adi Shankar featuring alter egos of the handsome and hunky characters from hit Ubisoft video games in a highly referential homage to the early 90s. So if you are a fan of the anime series or a fan of Ubisoft’s video game titles, then Captain Laserhawk is the manga for you.

A trio of titles from TOKYOPOP’s LoveLove imprint includes WE CAN’T JUST DO PLAIN LOVE in a continuing multi-volume manga series about a kinky office love affair between a secretary and her boss. STAR CROSSED is a full-color BL (boys’ love) webtoon launching this month and it is about the secret romance between a king and his loyal knight, while THE PRINCE IS IN THE VILLAINESS’ WAY will intrigue readers with a tale of love between a handsome prince and a reincarnated warrior princess. Also, explore an inspiring true story of how a gay couple in Japan formalized their union by adapting a legal loophole in the manga, WHY I ADOPTED MY HUSBAND.

Advance pre-orders for print titles are also available now, a full 60 days before the print release, via the TOKYOPOP website. For the Valentine’s Day promotion, readers can purchase titles all the way up to April 12th launch dates. More details on each manga title can be found below.
