The Japan Academy Film Prize Association has announced the nominees for the 43rd Annual Academy Film Prize. All of the nominees will be receiving Awards of Excellence.
Nominated for Excellent Film of the Year are Kingdom based on Yasuhisa Hara’s historical manga series and Tonde Saitama based on Mineo Maya’s comedy manga series.

Also nominated for Excellent Film of the Year are Shimbun Kisha, Heisa Byoutou – Sorezore no Asa (Closed Ward), and Hachimitsu to Enrai.
Nominate for Excellent Director of the Year are Shinsuke Sato (Kingdom) and Hideki Takeuchi (Tonde Saitama).
Nominated for Animation of the Year are Weathering With You (Tenki no Ko), Her Blue Sky (Sora no Aosa o Shiru Hito yo), Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire (Meitantei Conan: Konjo no Fist), Luping the Third: The First, and One Piece: Stampede.
