THE PROMISED NEVERLAND IS GETTING A LIVE-ACTION FILM IN WINTER 2020

THE PROMISED

The hit manga series The Promised Neverland is getting the live-action treatment and it is set to arrive in the Winter of 2020. The adaptation will star 19-year-old actress, Minami Hamabe, who will portray Emma. Co-starring alongside Minami is 13-year-old Jyo Kairi who will portray Ray and 17-year-old Rihito Itagaki will portray Norman and will be directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa.

The first official look of the upcoming manga film can be seen below:

Those familiar with the manga and the anime are aware that the children of this story are “shipped” out of the orphans home into what they believe is an actual family. That process happens when the children reach age 12. Unlike the manga and the anime, the live-action film will make a slight change to the story and make the shipping age 16 instead of 12.

The Promised Neverland anime premiered in the winter anime season this past January and ran for 12 episodes. Almost immediately after the season finale, a second season for the anime was announced for 2020
