Crunchyroll Announces the Highly Anticipated SPY x FAMILY Alongside Huge Slate of New Series
Anime NYC has taken New York City by storm this past weekend at the Javits Center. This past Saturday during Crunchyroll’s Industry Panel, the streamer announced that the highly-anticipated anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s SPY x FAMILY is heading to the platform in 2022. That wasn’t the only announcement made by Crunchyroll during their industry panel this past weekend. In addition to their huge anime slate announcement, Crunchyroll premieres an exclusive clip from the third episode of Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
Los Angeles 2032. A young woman wakes up with no memories and possessing deadly skills. The only clues to her mystery are a locked data device and a tattoo of a black lotus. Putting together the pieces, she must hunt down the people responsible for her brutal and bloody past to find the truth of her lost identity.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus is the newest installment in the Blade Runner franchise, taking place between the events of the iconic film and Alcon Entertainment’s critically acclaimed Blade Runner 2049. An Adult Swim and Crunchyroll original animated series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus will feature thirteen episodes directed by Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama, and produced by Alcon Entertainment and animation studio Sola Digital Arts, with Shinichiro Watanabe serving as a creative producer.

Aoashi – This anime is based on the cutting edge soccer manga of the same name, following a young soccer ace as he takes his career to the next level. Coming to Crunchyroll April 2022.

Dance Dance Danseur – The first anime adaptation from popular manga artist Asakura George follows the passionate adolescence of a group of ballet dancers. The upcoming series will be produced by MAPPA and directed by Sakai Munehisa.
