‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ has finally hit theaters in North America and it has critics and fans alike raving about it, and rightfully so. While The Nerdy Basement has already provided a spoiler-free review of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’, we went in all in on our spoiler-filled review on the latest episode of our anime exclusive podcast show, Anime in the Basement. In this episode, your hosts, The Nerdy Basement’s EIC, Ozzy, and anime enthusiast Boozer break down all of Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s biggest moments, the connective plot threads from the series and where things may go in ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 2.
For those still wondering if they need to watch or read the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ anime series or manga, clearly put, you don’t but watching the anime or reading the manga prior to the events of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ does add a little more weight to the character interactions we see throughout the film, especially those cameos. There are plenty of characters in this film that are shown in a much different light compared to their respective roles in the anime’s first season. So while not necessarily needed, its something we definitely recommend doing.
