Demon Slayer Mugen Train: Funimation To Air Three Demon Slayer Specials Ahead of Film’s Release

Demon Slayer Mugen Train Recaps Special Airing on Funimation

Funimation is currently airing three Demon Slayer television specials ahead of Demon Slayer Mugen Train’s theatrical release. The three specials will serve as the connective tissue between the anime’s first season and the anime’s first feature anime film which has been a massive success since it initially released in Japan, breaking a number of records in the process.

The three specials all respectively titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Sibling’s Bond; Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mt. Natagumo Arc; and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hashira Meeting Arc will feature new animated scenes which were not seen in the anime and will recap the first season’s most important moments and arcs to get any new and current Demon Slayer fan up to speed prior to watching Demon Slayer Mugen Train.

This is being done in familiar fashion with Attack on Titan, in which Funimation also aired an animated film recapping the first three seasons of the series prior to the release of the fourth and final season which premiered in late 2020. The television specials will be available on Funimation’s service in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Animelab in Australia and New Zealand. All three television specials are subtitled and dubbed for fans to enjoy.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is streaming now on Funimation along with its three television specials. Demon Slayer Mugen Trains releases in theaters April 23rd, tickets on sale now.
