Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc streams on Funimation in 2021
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become an unstoppable force in the anime community ever since its debut in 2019. The recent North American release of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train: The Movie only elevated the hit anime series even further and to heights never-before-seen in the worldwide box office, breaking numerous records set many years ago. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is showing no signs of slowing down as a new trailer and key visual for the second of season’s Entertainment District Arc releases.
With season two of Demon Slayer on the horizon (although with no specific premiere date), Funimation has confirmed that it will be streaming the new season in its English-speaking territories, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, later this year when the new season premieres.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc will once again feature animation production by Ufotable, who also handled the animation for Demon Slayer’s first season and its feature film. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train continues to be a global phenomenon earning over $470 million globally at the box office becoming the #1 film worldwide in 2020, the first non-Hollywood, non-U.S. film to achieve this. The film opened in the U.S. and Canada on April 23 hitting #1 at the box office the second week of release, earning more than $49 million+ to date. The film is available exclusively to Funimation subscribers in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
