After a week off, Attack on Titan has returned for an all-new episode. Marked as the season finale of this second part of the final season, many fans around the globe theorized and speculated about how MAPPA would conclude this season given the amount of material that still needed to be adapted into the anime. Many were in favor of MAPPA releasing an anime feature film to wrap things up, while others speculated we’d get additional episodes or theoretically, another season. The latter was confirmed today with an official announcement, preview teaser, and key visual.
As announced by Crunchyroll and anime source AnimeTV Japan on Twitter. Attack on Titan will be back for a third part in 2023. This season of Attack on Titan has seen enemies turned allied, friends turned enemies, the testing of morality and human complexities, all while delivering the mental and emotional toll war takes on those on opposing sides and innocent bystanders.
